Villarreal appear to be only getting better as Unai Emery makes bold claim ahead of clash against Manchester United
Man United will go head to head with Villarreal on Wednesday as both sides set to meet for the first time since the Europa League finals.
United sadly lost to Unai Emery’s men after a much hard work put int to make it to the final stage as Ole Solskjaer continued his trophyless run.
Villarreal held Real Madrid to a goalless draw this weekend while Man United failed to even find a draw against Aston Villa who shocked them with a late goal.
For Unai Emery, another win will be a morale booster for his squad as he maintains his good record against the Red Devils.
While for Ole Solskjaer, winning will help rekindle his hopes of remaining Man United manager as his decisions and position as Manager is already under heavy questions.
The last encounter saw Villarreal claim the victory with a penalty shootout after United failed to convert many chances provided to them before the full time and extra time was over.
Ahead of the game on Wednesday, Emery said to the press; “It’s not our first time meeting, maybe we are destined to always meet (laughs).
“The last time was good game for us although we had struggled in many ways but still managed to get the game going the right way and eventually came out on top after the penalties.
“Now, there are even a more difficult side as they now have Ronaldo with them, but we will do our best to stop him.
“Ole is a great coach and we can not let any loop holes become available cause he will use it against us if it’s available.
“My boys did good against Real Madrid last weekend and am hopeful they will do better against Manchester United.”
