The Belgian attacker has been said to be used wrongly by Thomas Tuchel after Chelsea fell to a slumping defeat to Juventus
Chelsea striker, Lukaku has reportedly revealed to Thomas Tuchel players he would love to attack with.
The Blues will ahead of their clash with Southampton have Mason Mount back in the squad after he missed their last game through injury.
Following comments from Thomas Tuchel during their press conference yesterday, it appears Romelu Lukaku is already settled in the current squad despite claims from Antonio Conte that he isn’t used in the right way.
Tuchel who shared that Lukaku is well attached to Mason Mount and that the English man’s injury is the reason behind the poor display from the Belgian.
Kai Havertz has also been a threat up front when merged with Lukaku as Timo Werner has found it hard linking up perfectly with be Belgian.
So it’s assumed Lukaku will mostly attack along side Kai Havertz and Mason Mount. Or even Hakim Ziyech.
“He was fully involved in the first game [Arsenal], and if you look at the second half vs Spurs he was involved,” Tuchel said. “Football is about connections. He has a strong connection with Mason Mount and Kovacic. Everyone else lacks it. We need to learn…”
“Man City made him feel isolated. There will always be matches like this. Nowhere to go. These games exist. We would talk different if he scored in the 80th minute, which he usually scores. Nothing major to worry about but we are aware of it.”
