The Frenchman could end up extending his stay at Old Trafford after events that occured on Saturday
United’s win over Newcastle United wasn’t the only thing Pogba enjoyed on Saturday as he went on to attend Burna Boy’s show which was held close to the Stadium.
The World cup winner provided two assists as United edged past Newcastle United, tallying his assists for the season so far up to 7.
His influence in the squad can’t be undermined and should United manage to keep him then it’s a major boost for the side who recently reunited with the World Best player.
Meanwhile, following latest reports from top tier reporter, David Ornstein, Pogba has of lately began considering penning an extension finally.
The Midfielder has so far refused to several extension offers from the club with United also having turned down exit offers for him last summer.
Man United are likely to lose him for free when his contract runs out but have already disclosed they are willing for such scenario.
It’s also believed that the club has already began plans for replacement incase he finally leaves.
But it’s possible there may not be a reason for replacements anytime soon as David claims Pogba is already reconsidering his decisions.
Below are David Ornstein’s words concerning the issue;
“Paul Pogba is leaning towards signing a new Man United contract – events on Saturday had a major impact on his thinking over his future at the club.
“Lack of movement in talks with Man United suggested joining the likes of PSG or Real Madrid looked likely and while that may yet occur, Pogba is currently thought to be leaning the opposite way. It is anticipated his mind could be made up sooner [before January].
“Man United are realistic about the situation and, accordingly, have started making contingency plans in case the midfielder is to depart — plans which can be shelved or amended if he agrees fresh terms.”
