Guardiola believes only the UEFA Champions League loss is one he considers more of a loss
The Spaniard tactician has aimed another jab at Chelsea ahead of their encounter in less than 3 hours to come.
Chelsea have already proved to be a tough opponent for the Cityzens with three resounding victories since Thomas Tuchel succeeded Frank Lampard.
Unlike the Pep Guardiola we all know, the 50-year-old has found it so hard to crack perfectly why Chelsea have always had an edge against his men.
Prior the Champions League tie, he had made a big claim of having discovered why Chelsea played so well but sadly he went on to lose the game.
Chelsea are posed with a decisive fixture against City today and it can’t be undermined the great influence a 4th victory will have on the Blues mentally.
Blues are strongly in pursuit for the league glory and having shared spoils with Liverpool, a victory against City will help fire up their hopes.
But according to Pep Guardiola’s words, it appears the tie today would be sensational as he claimed it being a new season and a new result must be forced out.
“Every game is a new challenge to improve and learn and be better,” Guardiola said.
“A final is completely different, the previous games like in the FA Cup was a final and was a tight game, we lost. In the Premier League it was already done, we were already nearly champions. The Champions League was a massive game. We try to learn, now it’s a new competition and we learn for these games.
“It’s one more game for the Premier League. Prepare the game from the strong points we have and improve what we have to be better. The mindset we had the last days to prepare this game will be the same against PSG and Liverpool before the international break.”
