Man United suffered a shocking defeat against Young Boys with Cavani not present
United landing Cristiano Ronaldo while Cavani is still in the squad only hands the side a major advantage that great managers can exploit.
The Uruguayan has proved to be a good number and according to Ole Solskjaer, he would be in the game soon.
Possibly Cavani’s absence is the main reason Ronaldo is been used as a number 9 instead of his preferred wing role.
Not actually that the Portuguese has done bad, instead he has proved to be more dangerous while attacking from the flanks.
With Cavani still out of the game, Solskjaer opted to using Ronaldo as a number 9 but there are chances he could return to the wing when Cavani returns to fitness.
Speaking to the press today, Solskjaer disclosed why Cavani hasn’t been in the starting eleven for as much as he should;
“Edinson [Cavani] hopefully will start training with us after the weekend, maybe Monday, so maybe involved on Wednesday,” Solskjaer said.
“We feel that to get the best out of him [Cavani] this season we need to get him 100% fit and not rush him. We’ve got a strong squad that will cope with having to let players heal and not risk any further injuries.
“I see Edinson [Cavani] having a massive impact, he’s that type of personality and player. He can’t wait to play and he’s working really hard to get back on the pitch.”
United will take on West Ham United on Sunday and it’s confirmed Cavani won’t be a part of the game on Weekend.
