Chelsea backed off chase to land Haaland after BVB disclosed they can’t let him leave this summer
The Blues are reportedly likely to still move for Erling Haaland when the transfer window reopens in January.
Haaland is definitely still interested in a move to Chelsea as he did disclose his amusement over joining the Blues this summer but yet he couldn’t force a move out.
Dortmund didn’t want to lose Jadon Sancho and Haaland in same window which means they, with replacements already in line, Haaland could exit Dortmund this winter.
Ahead of any possible move, Haaland has mostly been compared with Lukaku pertaining the shoes he could fill at Stamford Bridge.
It’s no hidden fact that Lukaku was a plan B of Erling Haaland but with his performances so far, his signings has proved not to be a bad one.
In a recent interview, Haaland was quizzed on matters relating to Romelu Lukaku; “He is a superb player, I have watched most of his goals and it’s good goals.
“If I get to play with him some day then it’s good. It’s football and we don’t know where we may be tomorrow.
“Currently, I like it at Dortmund and am ready for any competition I may face anytime. I want to score more goals and win more games.
