Lingard was seen doing Ronaldo’s sulu after netting his goal against Andorra
Jesse Lingard has once again shown clearly that he is a great fan of Cristiano Ronaldo as he awaits to train with the World Best for the first time.
United securing an epic come back for Cristiano Ronaldo would clearly see Lingard live one of the lives he dreamed of.
The 28-year-old although hasn’t had a great spell at United as he has mostly been on the bench before and after his West Ham loan move.
Despite having proved to be top talent, it’s not satisfying seeing him waste away on the bench as Ole’s decision to bench him remains strange.
Being a crucial part of England’s victory against Andorra on Sunday night, Lingard was involved in three out of the four goals victory.
Netting a brace and seeing up Bukayo Saka for a national team goal helped Britain secure a win against Andorra.
Lingard saw no better way to celebrate his goal aside copying his idol’s celebration; the sulu used by Ronaldo.
Cristiano Ronaldo in turn has left few words for the English man who didn’t hide his love for the Portuguese star man.
Speaking to Radio Fiola via a zoom interview this morning, Ronaldo said of Lingard’s celebration; ” I didn’t expect to see something like that (Laughs).
“He clearly caught us all by surprise. But the fact remains his performance was good. Two goals for England and an assist is definitely a good game.
“Good he is in our team and we can play together when the time comes, am back at United now, my home and am happy.”
Lingard has been left out in most of United’s games since Ole Solskjaer became manager but the English man is hoping to break back into the starting 11.
